1. You can order food from this neighboring coffee shop, Kedai Kopi Kong Heng, except the 'chicken hor fun' and drinks. Thean Chun has items like grilled pork on sticks, beef noodles and 'chee cheong fun' (rice noodles lashed with options of curry, mushroom grave, sweet sauce or chili sauce.
2. Try a little bargaining on fashion items at Little India Ipoh if you're very sure of purchasing.
3. If you have digested your breakfast food, the fried Indian noodle on a cart or fried radish cake outside Kedai Kopi Sin Yoon Loong is pretty popular. You can eat it inside the shop.
4. Aside from soup noodles, Restoran Onn Kee (Tauge Ayam) have curry too. The barbequed pork is relatively good although production of it may be inconsistent.
5. For Funny Mountain Soya Bean, Try soya milk with 'tau foo fa' instead of sugar syrup for a change.
6. Get creative with the fruit. Pomelos are great in salads!
7. While at Sam Poh Tong, do buy vegetables and breadcrumbs from the ladies outside the temple to feed the fishes and tortoises.
8. The stairs to the top of Perak Tong closes around 4pm as it may be too dark to walk after that.
9. The braised chicken feet of Nasi Ayam Clay Pot K Ten is excellent to munch on whilst waiting. Fishballs, pork balls and fried items aren't too bad either.
10. Pizza is the highlight at Michelangelo's Pizzeria, don't really bother about everything else although the cheese ball dessert is worth a mention. You don't get to pick your table, the wait staff will seat you.
