The first non-European mansion in Penang, it was built by Foo Tye Sin, one of the tycoons given the privilege to sit in the Commission of Inquiry on the 1867 Penang Riots. Recently refurbished and used as a bank, the mansion still retains its original architecture, vintage arches and windows.
