Grand architectural masterpiece

Standing magnificently with its uniquely grand architecture is the Crystal Mosque, which is situated within the Islamic Heritage Park on Wan Man island. Officiated by the Sultan of Terengganu in 2008, this mosque can accommodate up to 1500 worshipers and is one of the main attractions in Kuala Terengganu.

Masjid Abidin is often called 'Masjid Raya' or the 'Big Mosque'. As it is entirely painted white, it is also known as the 'White Mosque'. This mosque was built between 1793 and 1808 by Sultan Zainal Abidin II. The entrance doors and grills are carved with several calligraphic carvings of verses from the Quran.
