1. 1.Is Garmin Run Asia 2022 Series - Malaysia Marathon a physical or virtual event?
  2. Garmin Run Asia 2022 Series - Malaysia Marathon is a hybrid event. The physical event will be held on 11 September 2022, whereas the virtual run will be from 1 – 30 September 2022.
  3. 2. If I register for the physical run, do I still need to submit my run result on my Heyjom Dashboard?
  4. No, only participants who registered for the virtual run are required to submit their results via Heyjom.
  5. 3. What is the flag off time?
  6. The flag off time will be announced upon approval by the authorities.
  7. 4. What happens if I could not complete my run within the qualifying time?
  8. All registrants must complete their run within the qualifying time. There are 4 different distance categories to choose from and each category has a different qualifying time, so ensure to choose wisely which category fits your pace best.
  9. 5. I have my own insurance, so do I still need to purchase the Group Personal Accident Insurance from the event?
  10. Yes, it is compulsory to purchase the Group Personal Accident Insurance (this is set by the Sports Commissioner Office of Malaysia)
  11. 6. Can I register for both individual and team categories?
  12. Only one category per participant is allowed. You may join the event as individual or as a team, each participant will get his/her individual bib.
  13. 7. Can members of a team register for different categories?
  14. Yes, members of a team can register for different categories.
  15. 8. Can I change my distance or category after I have completed my registration?
  16. Unfortunately, you are not allowed to change your distance or category upon completing your registration.
  17. 9. How do I know if my registration is successful?
  18. Upon completion of registration, you will see a ‘success’ message on your screen and receive a confirmation email as well.
  19. 10. I have registered but did not receive my confirmation email. What should I do?
  20. If you did not receive your confirmation email, please check your spam, junk, promotions and social folders, or any other tabs in your inbox. If it is not there, please email info@heyjom.com with your full name, IC / passport number and email address used for registration. Alternatively, you may also view your event on your Heyjom dashboard.
  21. 11. Do I need to do a COVID-19 test before attending the event?
  22. It is not compulsory, but to keep yourself and others safe, you are encouraged to do a self-test before participating in the event.
  23. 12. Do I need to be fully vaccinated to participate in the event?
  24. Yes, you must be fully vaccinated to participate in the event. Proof of vaccination will be required on the event day.
  25. 13. Do I get a refund if I choose not to participate after completing my registration?
  26. No. Registration fees are strictly non-refundable.


  1. 1. How do I submit my result?
  2. To submit your results, go to your Dashboard on Heyjom mobile app and click on your Joined Event to submit your result. You will need to attach a screenshot of your virtual challenge, showing your distance, time and running date.
  3. 2. Is there any designated route? Do I need to follow the physical Garmin Run Asia 2022 Series - Malaysia Marathon’s route?
  4. No, you are not required to follow the designated Garmin Run Asia 2022 Series - Malaysia Marathon’s route. You may run from any location you choose, and at any time during the stipulated period.
  5. 3. Is there a cut off time to complete my run?
  6. There is no cut-off time for each distance category.
  7. 4. Can I complete my run on a treadmill or indoors?
  8. No, you will need to run outdoors at a location with good GPS signal, as you are required to keep track of your run through a GPS running device or GPS running app.
  9. 5. Can I accumulate my running distance over multiple runs instead of completing my run in one attempt?
  10. You are required to complete the 5KM and 10KM in one attempt. For 21KM and 42KM, you can accumulate your run with a minimum 10KM per result.
  11. 6. If I could not finish my run, can you still send the entitlements to me?
  12. You will not receive your finisher entitlement i.e., Dry Fit Event Tee, Finisher Medal, Race Bib & e-Certificate if you did not complete the race or send in your completed race results.


  1. 1. What do I need to produce to collect my Race Pack?
  2. • A copy of your identification (both soft and hard copies are accepted)
  3. • A copy of your confirmation slip (both soft and hard copies are accepted)
  4. 2. When and where is the Race Entry Pack Collection?
  5. The Race Entry Pack Collection is on 3 & 4 September 2022 at The Starling Mall, Petaling Jaya.
  6. 3. When will I receive my race kit if I opt for delivery?
  7. For physical runners, you will receive the race kit at least 1 week before event, for virtual runners it will be in October as we need to wait for the result submission first.
  8. 4. Can I collect for my family or friends?
  9. Yes, but you must have a copy of their IC (softcopy) and their REPC QR code – which will be given on a later date.
  10. 5. How can international participants collect the race pack?
  11. Please email info@heyjom.com with your full name, IC / passport number and email address to inform us that you will need to collect the race pack on race day. You will need to respond to the confirmation email in order for us to prepare your race pack for collection on race day.


  • 1. Please read all the terms and conditions ("Terms") carefully. Each individual who registers to participate in Garmin Run Asia 2022 Series – Malaysia Marathon ("the Event") (and, where applicable, in the case of a participant below the age of 18 years, the participant's parent, guardian or legal representative) ("Participant") declares and acknowledges to have read, understood and agreed to the Terms below and undertakes to comply with and be bound by the same.
    Garmin Run Asia 2022 Series – Malaysia Marathon ('Event') is owned by Garmin Corporation.
  • 2. The Event will be held on 11 September 2022 ("Date"). The Organiser reserves the right to postpone or cancel the Event at any time.
  • 3. Eligibility:
    1. (1) The Event is open to all and each participant attends the Event on his or her own free will.
    2. (2) The 5KM is open to participants of age 5 and above. Participants of age 5 - 16 years old MUST be accompanied by at least ONE adult participant of 18 years old and above of the same category who will always be responsible for their safety.
    3. (3) The 10KM is open to participants of age 13 and above. Participants of age 13 – 16 years old MUST be accompanied by at least ONE adult participant of 18 years old and above of the same category who will always be responsible for their safety.
    4. (4) The 21KM and 42KM is open to participants of age 18 and above.
  • 4. Prizes Winners:
    1. (1) Winners must be personally present to collect their prizes after the race upon the announcement of results. All uncollected prizes will be forfeited.
    2. (2) The Organiser reserves the right to request for the winners’ identity card or passport for age verification.


  • 5.By signing up for and providing any information, personal or otherwise, to gain access and to participate in the Event or any activities relating to the Event, the participant is deemed to have given express permission to the Organiser and Event partners and sponsors (if any) to use such personal information for marketing, statistical and planning purposes.
  • 6.By signing up for and providing any information, personal or otherwise, the participant agrees to provide his/her name and personal details to the insurance partner of the event for the purchase of Group Personal Accident Insurance (compulsory by the Sports Commissioner).
  • 7.The Organiser reserves the right to contact the participant from time to time by any means. Any notice sent to the email address registered with the Organiser shall be deemed as received by the participant.
  • 8.If a participant provides any information that is untrue, inaccurate, outdated, or incomplete, the Organiser may suspend or terminate the participant's registration and refuse any and all current or future use of any components of the Event. There will be no fee refund upon such suspension or termination of the participant's registration.
  • 9.The Organiser will not entertain or be in any way responsible for any disputes arising from incomplete or inaccurate Registration Data in the Event registration form completed by the participant.
  • 10.Once the participant’s registration has been duly processed, there will be no refund for any participant who does not eventually take part in the Event for whatever reason.
  • 11.All T-Shirt measurements are subject to 0.79+/- inch tolerance.
  • 12.All colour, design and material of merchandises are subject to change without notice.
  • 13.There will be no refund on registration fees if the Event is cancelled for reason of force majeure i.e., due to occurrence of incidents that are beyond the control of the Organiser (including but not limited to haze, storm, rain, inclement weather, wind, act of God, terrorism, or other conditions) and which in the Organiser's opinion, renders it impossible or unsafe to hold the Event.

  • 14.The Organiser reserves the right to refuse entry to any applicant under the age of 5 for 5KM and under the age of 13 for 10KM and under the age of 18 for 21KM, and/or 42KM.
  • 15.Bib given to the participants during the Entry Pack Collection are compulsory to be always worn during the Event. Entry will be prohibited otherwise.
  • 16.While every reasonable precaution will be taken by the Organiser to ensure the participants safety, participants attending the event is solely at their own risk and the Organiser will not be responsible or held liable for any injury or death however arising from training for, during or after participation in the Event. Participants are strongly encouraged to go for a medical examination and/or to consult their medical practitioner prior to registration and before the actual Event day.
  • 17.It is the sole responsibility of every participant to inform the medical staff/safety marshal of the session regarding any injury or reason that they cannot exercise.
  • 18.Should any participant feel fatigue, restless, or an injury at any time during or before the session, they must immediately inform the medical staff/safety marshal and refrain from joining the session.
  • 19.Participant must retire from the session immediately, if required to do so by any member of the official medical staff/safety marshal.
  • 20.The Organiser cannot be held responsible for lost, damaged or stolen property during the session.
  • 21.The Organiser reserves the right to amend the Rules and Regulations of the Event which will be reflected on the Event's Registration Platform and it is the responsibility of all the participants to keep abreast with any changes.
  • 22.The Organiser reserves the right to change the date, venue or to cancel the Event at any time without prior notice to the participants, in which case the Organiser will make every effort to inform the participants prior to the Date. If the Event must be cancelled, there shall be NO refund of fees and the Organiser shall not be liable for any other loss or inconvenience caused.
  • 23.The Organiser is not responsible for any error, omission, interruption, deletion, defect, delay in operation or transmission, communications line failure, theft or destruction, unauthorised access to, or alteration of user communications, or any problems or technical malfunction of any telephone network or lines, computer online systems, servers or providers, computer equipment, software, failure of email or traffic congestion on the internet and/or the Event's Official Website.
  • 24.Participants must ensure that they have read and understood the Personal Data Protection Notice on the collection, retention, use, disclosure and management of the Participant's personal data. By reading and agreeing to it, Participants agree to authorise and allow the Organiser and/or any of its subsidiary companies to collect, retain, use and disclose the Participant's personal data for the purposes mentioned in the Personal Data Protection Notice.
